Looking to the future...

There's something I've been planning on doing for some time, but I've been waiting for the right time to put into action. With MPZ heading towards the end of it's fifth year online I'm going to shake things up a little bit and start putting more focus on comics. Not only the single-panel stuff I've been posting for years but also comic strips and full length stories. Some characters from my animations may appear in them, and some comics may end up later as animations. I'm planning big things. Before anyone worries though I am not going to be stopping doing animations- I'm not even planning on animating less often. It's just that the gaps inbetween will animations will be filled with comicky goodness and other stuff. It may take some time to get into the swing of things but hopefully you'll stick with me- and I hope you'll enjoy the ride!

Guest comic!

Something I've been wanting to do for a while is bring to MPZ work by people other than me. It's been an ambition of mine to be able to bring other artists to your attention- be they cartoonists, animators, writers or whatever. So I'm excited today to be able to bring to you a picture by a very talented artist friend of mine the fabulous Siobhan Buckingham. I'm sure you'll love her stuff as much as I do. A classic... reimagined!

That might be pushing it a bit... but it's not only my animations that are getting given a re-boot. As you can see will also be redrawing my favourite installments of Back To The Drawing Board - my old comic gallery. This is my first effort, that some of you may recognize. I'm pretty pleased with it.
