Fascinating facts about Pirates

  • Pirates were those who robbed vessels at sea, without commission from a sovereign Nation
  • Pirates could be recognized by a skull and crossbones flag flying from the mast (and by the sound of "yarr"s.)
  • Some Pirates had parrots, but the really cool ones had pet monkeys obviously. None had weasels.
  • The most famous Pirate was Edward Teach- better known as Blackbeard. He was the scourge of the Caribbean Sea until he was killed by the British navy in 1718.
  • The least famous Pirate was Kevin Bradley better known as Bumfluff. He was the scourge of Staines until he was arrested for illegally downloading the new album by Metallica in 2002.
  • Pirate lego was much better than Castle lego. Everybody knows that.
  • The pirate spirit is kept alive today by celebrating 'International Talk Like A Pirate Day' on September 19th Every year. Basically you have to say "Yarr!" a lot.
  • Monkeys are better than Pirates, but it is very close indeed.

Amazing World Records

  • The world record for most number of nipples on an individual is held by Billy- Bob Hickford of Utah, USA. He was born with an impressive 27.
  • Alan Dunstable of Surrey, England was the worlds largest ever midget. He grew to a height of 8 foot, four inches by his death in 1816.
  • Ranjit Singh of Mumbai, India holds the worlds largest collection of Chuckle brother merchandise. He claims to have in excess of 12,000 items.
  • The largest item ever found in a human body via xray was a Fiat Punto. Colin Batman of Wakefield had no idea how it had got there.
  • Sally Watford was found alive after being trapped in Oasis member Noel Galleger's eyebrow for 8 years. She survived by eating dandruff and drinking sweat.
